Let’s talk about 240V 1500W Clear Halogen Heating Elements
If you need heat that hits hard and fast, these are your go-to. We built these lamps for high-intensity infrared (IR) heating. Here is the magic: at 1500W and 240V, they blast a concentrated stream of heat straight at your material. It doesn’t waste time heating up all the air in the room; it just goes right to the surface. It’s shortwave radiation. It’s instant. The nitty-gritty on power Running at 240V is a deliberate choice. We wanted these to plug right into standard industrial power grids. That means you can get them wired up and running without messing around with bulky, expensive step-down transformers. Plus, we use a clear quartz envelope. Why? Because it lets the IR energy fly through without getting trapped. You get a straight shot from the filament to whatever you’re heating. Why “Halogen” actually matters You’ve probably heard the term, but here is what’s actually happening inside the tube. We fill it with a specific halogen gas that stops the tungsten filament from evaporating. Without that gas, the filament would basically “smoke” and coat the inside of the glass in a dark film. Once that happens, your heat output tanks. The halogen cycle keeps the glass crystal clear, so you keep getting that maximum punch of energy. Putting them to work (and a few warnings) You’ll usually find these tucked inside PET blowing machines, curing ovens, or plastic welding setups. They’re designed to be simple drop-in replacements for most standard IR banks. But look, a word of caution. Pushing 1500W through a small tube creates atonof heat. It’s intense. If your reflectors are dirty or pitted, you’re going to lose efficiency, and you might even overheat the ends of the lamp. And please, double-check your cooling fans. If they aren’t beefy enough to handle the heat rise, you’ll fry your connectors way sooner than you should. Keep it cool, and these things will treat you right.
