It’s a focused thermal tool, designed to give you predictable, concentrated heat right where you need it. Here’s the heart of it: the shape. It’s linear, built to fit the R7s connector standard, so you get a tight, controlled heat zone without needing a bulky footprint. Power-wise, you’re looking at 2500W to 3000W, running on either 230V or 400V, depending on how your heater is set up. Many heater designs lean into the 400V option, and it makes sense. Higher voltage means lower current, which lets you use thinner wires and keeps the wiring inside the chassis simpler. The tube itself is typically around 300mm long—long enough to create a stable, reliable hot zone, but short enough to slip comfortably into compact heater bodies. We chose a quartz envelope because it can handle the extreme internal temperatures and won’t weaken when the heat cycles on and off quickly. Inside, the halogen fill does the heavy lifting, letting the filament run hotter for longer without the glass blackening up. That keeps the infrared output steady over the life of the lamp. And the R7s double-ended connector? It gives you a secure, aligned fit and a solid electrical connection. It’s designed to drop right in as a replacement, so you’re not stuck redesigning the whole assembly just to swap a part. In a home heater, the lamp sits where it can shine directly onto a reflector or heat exchanger, delivering fast, localized warmth. The linear shape focuses the energy along a clear axis, which helps keep the temperature even across the target surface. That predictability makes life easier when you’re planning the control and protection circuits. Just keep one thing in mind: with this kind of heat density, you need proper airflow and thermal clearance inside the heater.
